As part of February 15, World Childhood Cancer Day
This Saturday, February 15, is World Childhood Cancer Day, and Valencia CF and the VCF Foundation are joining the ‘Pañuelo Challenge’ campaign by Fundación Aladina to raise awareness about childhood cancer and pay tribute to the brave children and their families facing this difficult battle.
Every year, thousands of children and teenagers in Spain are diagnosed with cancer. For 20 years, Fundación Aladina has been fighting alongside them, knowing how tough the journey is but also believing that no one should face it alone. You can join the cause at fundacionaladina.org
To show their support, Valencia CF men’s and women’s team captains, José Luis Gayà and Marta Carro, along with the Club’s mascot, have posed together wearing the campaign’s symbolic wristband.
Additionally, Valencia CF coach Carlos Corberán and Valencia CF Femenino coach Cristian Toro are also backing this important initiative.
Furthermore, the captains of the VCF Academy’s Football 8 teams playing this Saturday at the Ciutat Esportiva VCF will wear the wristband before their matches, reinforcing their support for the campaign.
